Cold and Flu Prevention Tips

All over again, cold and flu season is upon us! Here are some simple tips to protect your loved ones from the cold and flu. Remember, always consult your physician for that best medical advice for you and your family.

1. Wash both hands often with plenty of soap and water. Make sure to wash for around 20 seconds. Teach young kids to sing the “Happy Birthday’ song twice before rinsing.

2. Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. Utilize the inside bend of your arm to pay your face instead of the palm of your hand to prevent spreading germs to others.

3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth whatsoever times. Germs on your own hands can simply enter your body through these moist areas.

4. Make sure to have tons of rest, eat a healthy diet and acquire frequent exercise to help improve your defense mechanisms.

5. Do not share personal care items including toothpaste or lip balm even with members of the family. Germs can be passed easily from a single person to the next.
