Winter Coat Repair

Winter Coat Repair – Upon getting home, I measured the length of the front of the coat. Measured the width I would need for front and back of the coat edge. Cut material for both front sides of the coat. I used a sewing machine to sew the material on the coat. After noticing how good it looked, I decided to repair another coat.
My forest green coat needed the cuffs and front edging on both sides repaired. I purchased blanket binding and black wool material for it. Again measured the length of the coat and measured for the width of back and front of coat edge. Sewed it on a sewing machine. The cuffs I used the blanket binding and performed hand sewing of the cuffs.
Now happily will have the capacity to wear all four coats and it looks great. Gaining another couple of years of wear. If you do not know if you are able to do it yourself, check out what the price of taking your coats or jackets to a seamstress for repair. It might be well worth it.
